hello,

Do you need some extra support on your journey?

let's work together

These bake free apple and cinnamon balls are quick and easy to make and are sure to be a hit with the whole family. Free from dairy and gluten and packed with protein, fibre and natural sugars for energy, they are the perfect 3 o’clock pick me up, or after school snack.

Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of Oats (we love @gfoats) – Aussie, gluten free oats
  • 2 tablespoons of Ground Flax Seed
  • 1/3 teaspoon of Cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup of Almond Butter (we love @hempfoodsaustralia)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of Raw Honey
  • 1 Apple (peeled, cored and finely diced)

Place oats, ground flaxseed and cinnamon together in a bowl. Mix well. Add almond butter, honey and diced apples. Mix well again. (You can pulse the oats briefly first if you have a processor for a slightly different texture).

Method

  1. Lightly wet your hands (to prevent sticking) and roll the mixture into balls approximately the size of golf balls.
  2. Once rolled into balls, place the balls onto a plate and in the fridge for around 30 minutes to set.
  3. If they don’t all get eaten straight away, they can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for the week, or the freezer for up to a month.

Alternatives

For a nut-free alternative, the almond butter can be substituted for sunflower seed butter,

For a vegan option, maple syrup can be used instead of honey.

Enjoy!

Megan xx
